We are not a rescue but a refuge and retreat for these horses. The horses we take in become part of our large extended family, and life at nonifarm is all about freedom, health and happiness. nonifarm horses live out in the fields 24/7. They’re checked every day and the horses all have access to run-in sheds in their fields. nonifarm horses are typically barefoot, fuzzy, and may have long manes. For nonifarm horses life at our farm is all about just that: being a horse.
Each additional horse nonifarm homes is a major commitment we do not enter into lightly. nonifarm is solely responsible for the horse’s care and expenses, including but not limited to costly geriatric veterinary care, critical medications for chronic conditions, farrier/hoof care, the special nutritional needs of our senior herd, and the significant expense involved in saying our final good bye. It is only possible with the generous support we continue to receive from our donors.
